Kaye Larrine (Young) Napoleon, age 78, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She was born June 18, 1945 to Charlie and Ethel (Buckley) Young in Brooksville, Oklahoma.
Kaye graduated from Macomb High School in 1962 and went to nursing school where she became an LPN.
She married Bobby Lee Napoleon on December 23, 1967 at St. John Baptist Church in Brooksville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2022.
Kaye has lived in the South Rock Creek area for the last 54 years.
Kaye worked at Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Tecumseh for 25 years until her retirement. Kaye also worked at Seminole Nursing home for many years.
She was a devoted and faithful member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Brooksville.
Kaye enjoyed reading, playing games on her tablet, and watching The Price Is Right and Family Feud.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 ½ years, Bobby Lee Napoleon; her parents, Charlie and Ethel Young; daughter and son-in-law, Serreta and Bryce O’Guinn; 2 sisters, Osceola Young and Melba Young; 4 brothers, Charles L. Young, Ozie Young, Carlos Young and Celester Young.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Robert Anthony “Tony” Napoleon of Shawnee, OK; 5 grandsons, Diontre O’Guinn, Anthony O’Guinn, Nick Napoleon, Braden Napoleon and Josh Napoleon; 5 great-grandsons, Kameron Napoleon, Moxon Napoleon, Kyrie O’Guinn, Jaggar Napoleon and Lev Lee Napoleon; 2 sisters, Verdia Davis and Loretta Word; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members and loving friends.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024 and continue through service time. Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Sharon Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Brooksville Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
