Kathy “Mema” Cline, 64, of Maud, Oklahoma passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at her home.
She was born October 12, 1955 to Hershel Ray and Mildred “Voncille” (Mitchell) Megehee in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Kathy was raised in Tecumseh and was a 1973 graduate of Tecumseh High School. She lived in Tecumseh until moving to Maud 22 years ago where she has since lived.
She married Tom Cline on January 30, 1998 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Kathy retired from the Seminole County Health Department on August 1, 2020 after 41 years of service to the Oklahoma Health Department serving mostly in Pottawatomie County and the last 10 years in Seminole. She was appointed to the Oklahoma Disaster Relief Program allowing her the opportunity to help others, not only in Oklahoma but all across the U.S. She proudly served in this position for 10 plus years. Kathy was a longtime WoodmenLife member who loved to serve in the community in any capacity she could, including helping at food banks or volunteering to cook lunch for first responders. She also served in several volunteer roles with WoodmenLife that include Jurisdictional Secretary, Jurisdictional Credentials Committee Member, Jurisdictional Escort, Shawnee Chapter 68 Secretary, Shawnee Chapter 68 Reporter, Shawnee Chapter 68 Website Administrator, and Shawnee Chapter 68 Sgt. At Arms.
She loved gardening, riding horses, dancing; but above all loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hershel Megehee; and brother, Steven Megehee.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tom “T.C.” Cline of the home; 1 son and 1 daughter-in-law, Jon and Alisa Sparks of Tecumseh, OK; 4 grandchildren, Kassidy Johnson, Haley Aloway, Justus Sparks and Caleb Sparks; 2 great-grandchildren, Carter Johnson and Callie Lynch; her mother, Voncille Conway of Ada, OK; and many loving friends and extended family.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2020 and continue through service time. Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Azlin officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
