Judy Ryan-Anderson Obituary

Judy A. Ryan-Anderson, 67, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life on January 22, 2026.

Judy was born on May 3, 1958, in Stockton, California, to Robert Ryan and Mabel (McClain) Ryan. She spent much of her early life in California, where she graduated from Turlock High School. Both of her children were born there, and California always held a special place in her heart.

Following a house fire, Judy relocated with her children to Oklahoma to be near her mother, Mabel. After several years, she moved her family to Florida for a career opportunity, where she also pursued some college coursework. After two years in Florida, Judy returned to Oklahoma, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Judy built a long and dedicated career in retail management. She served as General Manager at Circle D Pawn and previously as an Assistant Manager at Kmart. She was known for her strong work ethic, dependability, and leadership, as well as the genuine care she showed to both customers and coworkers. Judy believed deeply that her coworkers were her second family, and she treated them with love, respect, and loyalty.

Outside of work, Judy had an enormous heart—especially for animals. She never met an animal she didn’t love. Over the years, her home welcomed many cats, a dog, an opossum she proudly claimed as a pet, and even a pig at one point. Each was cared for as part of the family. Judy also enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and had favorite shows she happily rewatched time and again.

Judy will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ryan and Mabel Pearl Ryan; brothers Wayne Ryan, Ron Ryan, Rick Ryan, and Gary Ryan.

She is lived on by her two older brothers, Dean and Larry, her two children Richard and Crystal, and her 8 grand children.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Oklahoma. No services will be held.
