Joyce Ann Motley, 78, of Canadian, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Oklahoma City.
She was born April 23, 1944 to Leonard and Irene (Higdon) Hall in McLoud, Oklahoma.
Joyce was raised in McLoud and attended McLoud Public Schools. She graduated with the class of 1962 from McLoud High School. She lived most of her life in McLoud, except for a short time in Noman and in 2003 after retiring she move to Lake Eufaula to live.
She married Gene Motley on June 23, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1979.
Joyce worked at TDK for many years and as a school bus driver for McLoud Public Schools. She retired from Exxon Mobil in 2003.
She enjoyed the outdoors, living on the lake, fishing, water skiing, gambling, OU sports and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Motley; grandson, Kaleb Motley; great-grandson, Freedom Winterowd; and her parents, Leonard and Irene Hall.
Those left to cherish her memories are her life partner, Sammy Scoggins of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jean Ann and John Ramsey of Shawnee, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Erin Motley of Norman, OK; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Linda Winton of McLoud, OK and Phyllis and Troy Tate of Shawnee, OK; Jenny Scoggins and Mary Mars; many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2022 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Guinn, Living Love Christian Center, Shawnee, OK officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
