Johnny Dahlem Obituary

Johnny Lee "Slick" Dahlem, age 78 of Shawnee, Oklahoma,  passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. 

He was born March 10, 1945 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to John Marcus and Hazel (Gilley) Dahlem. He was raised in Shawnee, and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1963. 

He married the love of his life, Madeline G. "Trudy" Bayliss in Shreveport, LA in 1978. 

He worked for many years as a Supervisor at Tinker Air Force Base and retired in 2003. 
He enjoyed playing poker with his Poker Buddies.  He was an avid deer hunter and loved fishing. He was a member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends..

He was preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings.

He is survived by his Wife, Trudy Dahlem, two daughters; Michelle Ross & Jim, Ginger Dahlem, four grandchildren; Katie, Nicole, Desiree, and Austin, three great-grandchildren; Aiden, Zeek, and Morgan, two sisters; Bea Churchwell, and Debbie Munoz, sister-in-laws; Linda Farris and Gerald, Jackie Bayliss, nephews; Terry Moore, Steven Bayliss, Chanz Bayliss, and Jackson Bayliss, loving neice; Kim Gillert, great neighbors; Boyd and Selma Lane, and of course his Poker Buddies, and other family and friends.
 
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cooper Funeral Home.  Graveside Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Tecumseh Cemetery Pavilion, with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
