John Charles McMahan, of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the age of 53.
He was born on December 2, 1970 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Johnny Melvin McMahan and Martha Beesley McMahan.
John was very close to his grandmothers, Claudine Tucker Yeager and Margaret Quait Beesley and his step-grandfather Bud Yeager.
He grew up in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Schools.
John married Windi Hall on April 2, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
John was a union electrician for 30 years. He was very proud to be a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. (IBEW)
He is survived by his wife, Windi Hall McMahan; his children, Mary Irene McMahan, Matthew Melvin McMahan and wife Alexis, and Harley Dale McMahan; his brother, Eric Vaughan and wife Andrea; his mother, Martha Beesley Vaughan; his grandchildren, Skylar McMahan, Wyatt McMahan, and Isabella McMahan; and other extended family and friends.
John was very proud of his children and his grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with family members officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
Following the service, the family will have a gathering to meet friends and family at Farmers Daughter Restaurant 302 W. Broadway, Tecumseh, OK.
