Joel Wayne Dyer, 64, lifelong resident of McLoud, Oklahoma passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 at his home.
He was born March 25, 1957 to Harold and Almeda (Burnett) Dyer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Joel was raised in McLoud and graduated with the class of 1975 from McLoud High School.
He Married Lorrie Getz on October 22, 1982 in Falls Creek.
Joel was a master carpenter and specialized in custom hand carved furniture and custom pieces for Enigma Woodworks.
His passion was woodworking, but he was a talented artist and enjoyed painting as well and enjoyed fishing. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dyer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lorrie Dyer of the home; 3 daughters, Tiffany Athena and Tommy Prahm of Macomb, Teagon and Jason Malone of Meeker and Tona Coen of McLoud; 2 sons, Michael Dyer of Tennessee and Tristan and Kaci Dyer of Shawnee; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Almeda Dyer of Tecumseh; sister, Karen and Tony Morley of Jones; brother, Dennis and Sharla Dyer of Tecumseh; and other extended family and friends.
The family will hold a Memorial Service, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Broadway Chapel in Tecumseh with Reverend Larry Sparks officiating. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. There will be no viewing. Please join the celebration of Joel’s life.
