Jimmy Ray Gibson, 68, passed away on January 15, 2024 at Norman Regional HealthPlex with his family by his side. Due to a decline in his health, he was called home.
The second child born of ten children, Jimmy was born on January 27, 1955 in Norman OK.
In his younger years he was quite the character and prankster, he also enjoyed karaoke night at Thunderbird Casino. Stomp dancing at the local grounds and participated in other tribal ceremonies.
Jim worked as security for different companies as well as volunteered with the Pink Fire Department as a volunteer fire fighter, retiring in his later years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Kaseca; mother, Cleona Mann; and brother, John Mann.
Jim is survived by his companion of 40 years, Sabra Tyler; 6 brothers and 4 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Tribal Rights will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Absentee Shawnee Tribe Community Center. Burial will be held Thursday morning, January 18, 2024 at the Kaseca Family Cemetery in Little Axe, with Larry Coffey officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
