Jesse Dale Wagoner, 86, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Shawnee.
He was born February 16, 1936 to James Elcha and Della (Young) Wagoner in Lamar, Oklahoma.
Jesse was raised in Lamar and attended Lamar Grade School and Moss High School. After high school moved to Oklahoma City where he resided for many years before moving to the Tecumseh area where he lived for the last 20 years.
He worked for City of Oklahoma City for 30 years.
Jesse was a devout Christian and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved country and gospel music and enjoyed sports, especially Yankees baseball. He loved his brothers, sisters and his family and friends very much. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Della Wagoner; 4 brothers, Glenn, Alfred “J.W.” Dub Wagoner, James Ivan Wagoner, Ernest Wagoner and Johnny Leon Wagoner; sister, Nannie Corene Wagoner; niece, Janie Ball; and 2 nephews, Jaylee Looper and Ronnie Wagoner.
Jesse is survived by 1 brother and 1 sister-in-law, Jimmy and Retha Wagoner of McLoud, OK; 2 sisters, Elueta Norine Looper of Wichita, KS and Chessie Florene of Wichita, KS; sister-in-law, Ruby Wagoner of Lamar, OK; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2022 and continue through service time. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 28, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Gregg officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
