Jesse Stearman

Jesse Walter Stearman, Jr, of Tecumseh passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Tecumseh.

He was born March 5, 1949, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jesse Walter Stearman, Sr. and Emma Lucinda (Hall) Stearman.

Jesse was raised in McLoud and graduated from McLoud High School class of 1967.

He served in the U.S. Army and worked for O.G. & E. as a welder. He retired in 2002 after 27 years of service.

Jesse loved spending time with grandchildren. He made sure to attend every dance recital, sporting event, and livestock show they participated in.  Jesse had pastimes of  hunting, fishing, camping, and riding Cushman motorcycles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife of 50 years Kathy (Watson) Stearman,

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Colette and Rick McClure of Tecumseh; son and daughter-in-law, John and Allison Stearman of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Taylor and Stewart Williams, Hayden McClure, Laney Stearman, and Cami Stearman; a great grandbaby, Brooks Williams coming July 2023; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Jorge Valdes of Huntsville, Alabama, Bettie and Ronnie Besse of Shawnee, and Carilyn and Len Wiens, of West Virginia; and many other close family and friends.             

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Tecumseh Cemetery Pavilion with Erick Henson officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
