Jeff King Obituary

Jeff was born in Oklahoma City on December 19, 1973, to Billy King and Janet Moore. He graduated from Western Heights High School and spent his career working for Tinker Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic. He was known for his exceptional skills in tile setting with Brad France and Mike Anderson, and for hunting with Paul Smith, Jim Barnard, Jimmy Forrester, and Gary Striener.

Jeff married Melissa King on February 14, 2021, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and their six dogs. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, traveling, and being the grill master of the family. Jeff had a deep love for animals, especially the couple’s dogs, with Molly holding a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa King of Shawnee; daughter Cynthia and her husband, Michael, of San Tan Valley; granddaughter Zoey Grace; mother Janet Shores and her husband, Carl Shores, of Prague; his three brothers: Chance King of Granbury, Texas; Michael Armontrout of Granbury, Texas; and Brian Armontrout and his wife, Jaclyn Armontrout, of Watauga, Texas; his sister, Stephanie Armontrout, and her boyfriend, Kevin, of Texas; father figure Jimmy Forrester of Arcadia; and stepchildren: Austin Link of Norman; Carson McKay and his wife, Allyson McKay, of Oklahoma City; and Bryson McKay of Shawnee. He will be remembered for his kind presence and quick wit, always ready with a joke and a warm smile.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Billy King; his father- and mother-in-law, Antony Link and Carolyn Link; his grandparents, Frank Wash, Lavada Wash, Richard Keough, and Helen Keough; and his aunt, Kimberly Parham.
