Janice Darlene Harris

Janice Darlene Harris, 70, resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away on October 14, 2021 in Shawnee. 

Janice was born May 11, 1951 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Robert and Billie Campbell. 

She graduated from Bethel High School and lived in Texas for a short time before moving back. 

Janice married Glynn Harris in Houston Texas in 1972.

She helped Glynn build race cars and owned a couple of race cars. She won a championship in drag racing. Janice enjoyed fishing and hunting with Glynn and traveling the United States for racing events.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.               

Her memory is kept alive by her husband Glynn of the home, sons, Kenny Edward Harris of Shawnee, and William Martin Harris of Kansas; several grandchildren, brothers Ernie Campbell and Richard Campbell of Shawnee; sister, Joy Myers of Shawnee; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. 

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Townsend of Bethel Acres Assembly officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
