Jackie D. McLin, 83, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at his home.
He was born February 9, 1938 to Dewey and Frances (Holmes) McLin in Barnett, Oklahoma.
Jackie was raised near Macomb in what was known as the Barnette Mission Community. He attended Macomb Public Schools.
He moved to Oklahoma City where he met his future wife, Sharon Louise Wise. They were married on February 12, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico on a sightseeing trip. They made their home in Oklahoma City until moving to the Pink area 36 years ago.
Jackie was the best diesel mechanic in the State of Oklahoma and could fix anything with a motor. He owned and operated Jack’s Diesel Repair in south Oklahoma City and Tecumseh Furniture Store for several years. He loved playing music, especially blue grass music.
He was preceded in death by son, Jackie Allen McLin; daughter, Donna Marie McLin; his parents, Dewey and Frances McLin; and 4 brothers, Dewey, Leonard, Ronny and Carl.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon McLin of the home; 1 sister, Ruth Coursey of Yukon, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
