Gary Davis

Gary Davis, 66, of McLoud, Oklahoma passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 in McLoud.

He was born March 2, 1955 to Richard and Dorothy (Patton) Davis in Fayette, Alabama.

Gary was raised in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools.  He lived in Cordova, Tennessee for several years until moving to McLoud.

He married Patricia Davis on September 26, 1996 and she preceded in death in 2008.

He worked in construction as carpenter and framer most of his life. In his younger years he loved bowling and bowled a perfect game.  Gary loved gardening and always had a garden. He was a man of his word and was a man of integrity.  Gary enjoyed politics, was an Alabama Football fan and enjoyed being outdoors and going to the lake.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Davis; parents, Richard and Dorothy Davis; siblings, John Harvey Davis, Floyd Richard Davis, Lloyd Dell Davis, Juanita Hammond, Lou Dell Copeland, Willie Nell Tidwell, Hubert Glen Davis and Carroll Davis.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Sherry Davis of McLoud, OK; 2 sons, Gary Davis of Edmond, OK and Nick (Davis) Spurlin of Tecumseh, OK; brothers, Charles Lee Davis, George Marshall Davis and Howard Dewayne Davis; grandchildren, Jeffrey Lovett, Shana White, Preston Davis, Rhealyn Sutliff, Veronica Spurlin and Abbygail Spurlin; 2 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Regina Kruger; step-grandchildren, Nick, Ashley and Tommy; and numerous, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.   

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2021 and continue through service time.  Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel Reverend Keith Ward, Taproot Church, Shawnee, OK officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
