Fred T Cox, Jr.

Fred T. Cox, Jr., 71, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born November 12, 1949 to Fred Tully Cox, Sr. and Betty Louise (Shawn) Cox in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Fred was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma and Unionville, Missouri. He graduated with the class of 1969 from Unionville High School.  Fred lived in the Tecumseh/Shawnee area for many years until moving to Broken Arrow in 2008.

In 1971 he joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1975.

Fred worked for Wolverine Tubing in Shawnee and retired in 1994.

He loved OU Football and enjoyed collecting baseball cards and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Cindi Dickenson of Broken Arrow, OK and Jana and Frank Chastain of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 niece, Heather Fisher and fiancé Bart Riddle; 2 nephews, Jessie Dickenson and Kyle Fisher; 1 great-niece, Brecklyn Williams.         

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at Tecumseh Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
