Elizabeth Angela “Angel” McCarroll, age 70, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on April 18, 2026.
Elizabeth was born on April 22, 1955, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Nicholas and Patricia (Miller) Lenz. She was raised in Shawnee and spent most of her life in the Shawnee area. Over the years, she also lived briefly in Las Vegas, Nevada, before returning to Oklahoma, where she lived in Comanche, Norman, and Chickasha before moving back to Shawnee. She later made her home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, where she remained until her passing.
Elizabeth worked as a custodian at Oklahoma Baptist University and was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She enjoyed watching true crime shows and sports, especially football and basketball. More than anything, Elizabeth cherished time spent with her family. She had a kind and compassionate heart, particularly for animals. She loved many cats and dogs throughout her life, with a special affection for one of her cats, Shadow.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Patricia Lenz; her husband, Donnie McCarroll; and her son, Shawn McCarroll.
She is survived by her son, Rocky McCarroll; her daughter, Theresa Barr; her granddaughters, Abigail McCarroll, Athena McCarroll, Cheyenne Furr, and Xalina McCarroll; and her grandsons, Jesse McCarroll and Lorcen McCarroll; a host of great grandchildren
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Tecumseh, Oklahoma with Reverend Phil Thompson of Liberty Baptist Church Shawnee, Oklahoma officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
