Elise Leigh Treadway

After a long and courageous battle against triple negative breast cancer, surrounded by her family and friends, Elise Leigh Treadway, 38, stepped into eternity on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. 

Elise was born October 27, 1982, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born to David and Kathelene Beauchamp. Elise was raised in Tecumseh, Oklahoma graduating from Tecumseh High School in 2001. Elise received her Bachelors of Arts from St. Gregory’s University and Masters of Science from the University of Oklahoma. BOOMER SOONER! 

Elise married the love of her life, Joshua Don Treadway on March 15, 2011 in the Elvis Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. On their 10th Anniversary, she posted, “You’ve truly given me the best days of my life. Here’s to a new adventure and onto a path of healing. I love you, Trouble.” 

Elise was preceded in death by her father, David Beauchamp of Oklahoma City, OK, her paternal grandparents, Harry and Rosa Beauchamp of Davis, OK, and her maternal grandparents, Noel and Luvina Armstrong of Tecumseh, OK. 

Those left to celebrate Elise include her husband, Joshua, and four children, Maverick, Monroe, Kaylie, and Lily Treadway, her mother-in-law, Sheila Treadway of the home; her mother Kathelene Beauchamp of Shawnee, OK; her “Bubba”, Kent Scott of Tecumseh, OK; her sister, Kenya Hampton of Springtown, TX; her brother-in-law’s and their family, Jake and Chelisa Treadway their children Breelin and Briar Treadway of Noble, OK; Jesse and Renee Treadway of Tecumseh, OK; her “Nana and Papa”, Carolyn and Alden Vaughn of Shawnee, OK; her nephews and their family, Mitchell and Heather DeShazer and their children, Juniper and Jasper DeShazer of Shawnee, OK; Brian and Hayden DeShazer of Raleigh, North Carolina; nephews Brady Hampton and Grady Hampton of Springtown, Texas, and all of her friends who she considered family.  

Elise started working at Tinker Air Force Base during her Freshman year of college and remained employed there for the last twenty years. Elise and her family attended Life Church. 

The brightest stars in Elise’s sky were her husband and children. Those connected to her knew her to be intentional, selfless, loyal and compassionate. She loved fiercely and gave generously. 

There will be a memorial room Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 210 West Walnut, Tecumseh, OK 74873.   Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at Living Love Christian Center, 1000 N. Kennedy, Shawnee, OK 74801, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. Gifts of flowers and plants may be sent to Cooper Funeral Home.
