Elaine (Watson) Kieffer

Elaine Kieffer,80, of Wanette, Oklahoma, passed away on June 12, 2026 in Wanette, Oklahoma. 

Born on January 6, 1946, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, a daughter of R.D. and Alma Watson. Elaine lived in Ft. Worth, Texas before moving to Shawnee as a teenager. 

Elaine graduated from Shawnee Highschool in 1964. 

She then married the love of her life, Joe Kieffer and the two were united in marriage on December 29,1964 and have been married for 61 years. The two were introduced by a cousin. Joe and Elaine began their family in Shawnee before making their home on the family farm in Wanette, Oklahoma for the past 50 years. 

Elaine worked at Sylvania for a short time until she decided to be a stay-at-home mom to raise her boys. 

She loved Redbirds and going on walks. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride.

Elaine cherished being able to take care of her mother, and she was always checking in on her sisters and cousins. Elaine was very close to her family. Elaine was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and loved his music. She was very well known for the best Angel food cake and her fried chicken. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.D. and Alma Watson; sister, Linda Haley; and her son, David Kieffer. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her beloved husband, Joe Kieffer of the home; son and daughter in law, Daniel and Tesia Kieffer of Granbury, TX; sister, and brother in law, Olivia and Glen Neal of Cushing, OK; 3 grandchildren, Nikolaus and Vita Kieffer, Isabella Kieffer, and Aleksandar Kieffer; 2 great grandchildren, Ophelia and Finley, and many extended family members and dear friends. 

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, and continue until service time at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerome Manous of Lifespring Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
