Dorothy Pearl (Lutts) Conley left this earth and gained her heavenly wings on May 12, 2025.
Dorothy was born on December 2, 1935, to John and Virtie Lutts in a small community just outside of Sulfur, Oklahoma. She lived in this farming community until her family moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma. After graduating from Shawnee High School, she went to work for S.H. Kress & Co.
In 1960 she met the love of her life Delbert Conley. They moved to Wanette, Oklahoma in 1962 and started a family. Her family moved to Bangor, Maine in 1972 where they lived for 5 years. Dorothy attended business school and went to work for a local hospital. She was the fun-loving southern girl who introduced the Yanks to new foods. After living in Maine for several years the family moved to Texas where she went to work at the New London City Hall. She lived in Texas for several years before moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dorothy and Delbert lived and worked in the city until retirement took them to Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Dorothy was fun, loving and optimistic. She loved music and loved to dance. She had a faithful heart that was filled with grace and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Viola Josephine Blount and Irene Peters; one brother, Leon Lutts.
She is survived by her loving husband, Delbert Conley; her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Ralph Granzin; grandson, Gunnar Granzin; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025 and continue through service time with family gathering from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to greet friends and family at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2025 at Wanette Cemetery with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Shawnee Baptist Church, Tecumseh, OK officiating. under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
