Obituary

Diane Marie Terrell, 69, resident of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Oklahoma City.

She was born in a snowstorm on March 7, 1954, in St. Johns, Newfoundland to Robert Harold Gleason and Gloria Barbara (Pardy) Gleason. She traveled the world as part of a military family, spending time in Germany, the Philippines, and Florida. In 1968, the family landed in Del City, Oklahoma where she attended Southeast High School and met the love of her life, Noel Ray Terrell. They married during her senior year in high school on March 18, 1972.

After high school, Diane traveled the country supporting her husband and his time in the Air Force. Ultimately, they returned to Central Oklahoma where they put down permanent roots and raised their family. During this time, Diane spent 18-years in the healthcare industry as well as 20-plus years at Little Axe High School where she touched the lives of countless patients, coworkers, and students. She supported and cared for those around her with all her heart and without hesitation. Those close to her knew that she loved Christmas, snow, playing cards, good food, and laughing – but more than anything else, she loved her family and in particular, her grandkids.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gloria Gleason; sister, Barbara Gleason; her in-laws Ken and Iva Terrell, and her brother-in-law, Bill McClure.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Noel Terrell; children, Noel K. Terrell and wife Dollie of Moore; Kelli Cotton and husband Jason of Norman, and Ashley Rolen and husband Kirk of Moore; grandchildren, Jordan Chung and husband Kyle, Blake Cotton, Tristan Terrell, Landon Rolen, India Terrell, Selah Rolen; great grandchild on the way, Oliver Chung; 3 brothers, Robert H. Gleason and wife Delena, Charles H Gleason and wife Rita and Matthew Gleason and wife Karen; 2 sisters, Stephanie Mays and husband Bob, and Debbie McClure; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
