Diana Faye Turner, age 77, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Thursday, August 22, 2024 in Edmond, Oklahoma.
She was born December 28, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to William Sylvester and Mary (Johnson) Thomas.
Diana graduated high school in 1965 from Blue Mountain Academy in Hamburg, Pennsylvania and later earned an associate in science degree from Seminole Junior College.
She was married to Donald Gene Beard on April 24, 1976, at Soldier Creek Baptist Church in Midwest City OK, and he preceded her in death in 1980. She later married William Henry "Bill" Turner on July 31, 2004 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Bethel Acres, OK.
Diana worked for Oklahoma DHS as a social case worker for many years. She loved cooking, traveling, playing Bingo, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Bethel Acres.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Thomas; her son, William Thomas Beard; her first husband, Donald Gene Beard; her husband, Bill Turner; and sister, Patricia Rose Thomas.
Survivors include son, Jeff Auchey and wife Brenda of Shawnee, OK, son, Donnie Beard and wife Christal, of Shawnee, OK, son, Terry Beard of Yucca, AZ, son, Sam Turner of Fayetteville, NC, son, James Turner of Ft. Smith, AR; grandchildren, Tristan Cain, Savannah Cain, Alex Cain, David Burkey, Hannah Burkey, Shawn Beard, Christopher Groves, and Daniel Beard; sister, June Martin; longtime friends, Linda and Ronnie Barnett, Vicky White and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2024 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Bethel Acres under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
