Dewayne Mack, 74, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 in Seminole.
He was born October 5, 1947 to Henry Mack and Geneva Creek at the family home in Pink, Oklahoma.
Dewayne was raised in Little Axe and attended Chilocco Indian Boarding School. He lived most of his adult life in the Shawnee area.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Dewayne worked many jobs in his life including his last job as an electrician for the City of Tecumseh. He was a proud member of Shawnee Absentee Tribe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Meleah Mack; granddaughters, Cameran West and Tafv Mack; sisters, Ramona and Patricia; and brother, Cody Mack.
Survivors include his daughter, Josie and Junior Fields of Cromwell; sons, Thomas and Chris Mack of Bowlegs, Kevin and Ella Mack of Seminole, Felix and Angela Mack of Seminole and Darrin Mack of Cromwell; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brothers, Alvin Wilson, Melvin Wilson, Calvin Wilson and Marvin Wilson; sisters, Mary tiger, Gladys Tiger and Wilma Colungo; and other extended family and friends.
Tribal Rites will be Saturday evening, May 21, 2022 at Absentee Shawnee Tribe Community Center in Little Axe with George Blanchard officiating. Burial will be Sunday morning, May 22, 2022 at Mack Family Cemetery in Newalla under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
