Deborah Lynne Morris, 57, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed from this life Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Oklahoma City.
She was born July 19, 1961 to T.W. Stansell, Jr. and Wanda (Ball) Stansell in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Deborah was raised in the Pink community and graduated with the class of 1979 from Tecumseh High School.
She married Martin “Marty” Morris on June 15, 1979 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Deborah retired from Sears after 20 years of service. She worked at Hamburger King for several years and was currently employed at Braum’s in Shawnee.
Deborah was a member of Faith Christian Outreach (Faithco Church). She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her family ALWAYS CAME FIRST. Deborah always took care of her husband “Marty”. She was small but mighty and could do anything.
She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Donte Wesley Jimenez and Alexis Kamie Morris; and her father, T.W. Stansell, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Martin “Marty” Morris of the home; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Tammra “Tammy” Akhimiona of Tulsa, OK and Jennifer and John Stokes of Shawnee, OK; 1 son and 1 daughter-in-law, David Morris and Jennifer Jimenez of Pink, OK; 4 grandchildren, Jordan Andrew Morris, Alyssa Dorsey, Jasmine Jimenez and Aveon Stokes; her mother, Wanda Lee Stansell of Pink, OK; 3 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law, Sheila and Randy Perkins of Harrah, OK, Patricia and Bruce Marshall of Pink, OK and Donna and Brian Goodrich of Pink, OK; mother-in-law, Betty Morris of Bethel Acres, OK; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 and from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2019 and continue through service time. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Hurst, Faith Christian Outreach, Shawnee, officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
