David Earl Webb, the youngest of five, born January 29, 1944 to Oral and Mildred (Sanders) Webb and a lifelong Christian and resident of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Shawnee.
David attended and graduated from Tecumseh Public Schools in 1962 and joined the State Highway Department soon after graduation, enjoyed a brief stint selling life insurance, and would later devote more than 20 years at Tinker Air Force Base where he retired as a Civil Service Contractor in 1989.
A lover of animals and Sooner Sports, David was known for his quick-witted humor, socializing over coffee with friends at the Boom-a-rang Diner, hedging his bets on penny slot machines at the casino, and his affection for sweets.
David was preceded in death by: his parents and 3 brothers, Donald, Bobby, and Johnny Webb.
He is survived by: his four-legged buddy, Biscuit; his daughter and son-in-law, Anisha and Mitchell Giles of Muskogee, OK; 2 sons, David Eugene Webb of Shawnee, OK and Brian Christopher Webb of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Nichole Clagg and husband Brandon, Cortney Taran Cook and husband Kacy; and Morgan Michelle Glass and husband Hunter; great-grandchildren, Hadley Clagg, Rowan Clagg, Hayes Cook, Emmerson Cook and Fisher Glass; ex-wife and mother of his children, Carol Webb Lynch; brother, Weldon Arthur Webb of McLoud, OK; and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home. Private Family Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery with Chaplain Aric Foster of Angelic Hospice officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC and State of Oklahoma Regulations and Guidelines, all attendees are to remain in their vehicles and join the celebration of David’s life through Cooper Funeral Home’s Facebook page for live streaming of the service.
