Dasia Lynnelle Neconie-Shawnee

Dasia Lynnelle Neconie-Shawnee, age 7, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed from this life Monday, January 9, 2023. 

She was born on June 29, 2015 to Lindsay Shawnee in Norman, Oklahoma. 

Dasia loved to dance and loved going to and dancing at Pow-Wows.  She loved spending time with her siblings and playing outside.  Dasia especially loved spending time with her uncle Hey! 

Those left to cherish her sweet memory are her mother, Lindsay Shawnee of the home; 3 sisters, Makiah, Jazlynn and Maeliah and 2 brothers Nolan and Kassius, all of the home; grandmother, Sharon Shawnee of Shawnee, OK; grandfather, Bill Shawnee of Harrah, OK; 2 great-grandmothers, Velma Blanchard and Doris Shawnee; 4 uncles, Coltin Shawnee, Corey Shawnee, Lyndell Shawnee and Jacoby Shawnee; 2 aunts, Leilani Shawnee and Bridget Shawnee; and many cousins and extended family and friends. 

Tribal Rites will be Wednesday Evening, January 11, 2023 at Brendle Corner with George Blanchard officiating. Burial will follow Thursday morning, January 12, 2023 at Absentee Shawnee Tribal Burial Grounds in Little Axe under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
