Darrell Lee McNabb, 71, of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 in Oklahoma City.
He was born on September 9, 1953, to James and June (Childers) McNabb in Greenville, Mississippi.
Being a son of an Airforce family, he lived at a multitude of AirForce bases before moving to Bethel Acres, his freshman year of High School, where he met his beloved Reba.
Darrell attended Bethel Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1972.
He married Reba Ann Fallin on October 22, 1972, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Darrell worked in the produce department at many grocery stores, some of these included: Brannons, Humpty Dumpty, Buchannons, Pratts, Pats IGA and Firelake Grocery. Darrell loved serving his customers, creating lifelong relationships with many of them.
Later, Darrell retired from Tinker Air Force Base as a sheet metal mechanic.
Darrell enjoyed watching sports and going to the Warren Theater with his son, Matthew. His grandchildren were a joy and the focal point of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Lee McNabb.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Reba (Fallin) McNabb of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Monaca and Kirk Climer of Shawnee, OK; son, Matthew McNabb of Bethel Acres, OK; mother, June McNabb of Norman, OK; two grandchildren, Garrett Climer of Choctaw, OK and Adrianna Climer of Oklahoma City; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis McNabb and Verna McNabb of Norman, OK; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Ron Smith of Tecumseh, OK and sister-in-law, Judy Morse of Tecumseh, OK; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, and continue until service time. Service will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Teresa Peden officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
