In Loving Memory of Cynthia Ann (East) Monday April 22, 1965 – August 8, 2025 Cynthia “Cindy” Ann (East) Monday, 60, of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on August 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. Cindy was born on April 22, 1965, in Van Nuys, California, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She began working at Richard’s Drug at just 16 years old and remained there faithfully until early 2021, becoming a trusted and familiar face in the community. In November 2002, Cindy married the love of her life, Kevin Monday. Together they adopted three children — Aaron, Olivia, and Carter — and built a home filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Cindy loved her family above all else, including her beloved dogs, who were always by her side. She could often be found cheering in the stands at baseball games, applauding proudly at dance recitals, or watching her beloved Oklahoma Sooners play. Cindy was known for her gracious spirit, her kindness toward everyone she met, and the quiet strength she carried through life’s challenges. Her warmth made others feel welcome, her compassion left a lasting impact, and her love for her family was boundless. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; her children, Olivia, Aaron, and Carter; along with extended family and countless friends whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by Norma East (mother), Edward East (Father), and Michael East (brother) Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 12, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The service is open to the public for all who wish to honor her memory. Cindy will be remembered not only for the life she lived but for the love she gave — a love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
