Christopher Michael Lawrence, 39, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in Oklahoma City.
He was born February 4, 1982 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents, Michael and Rebecca (Lawrence) Brown.
Christopher grew up in Shawnee and attended South Rock Creek School to the 8th grade and graduated from Bethel High School.
He was a diesel mechanic for United Engines and worked for Van Guard in Oilfield fracking.
Christopher was a member of the Dale Baptist Church and devout Christian man who knew his Bible. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and playing with the grandkids. Christopher was an avid O.S.U. fan and talented artist. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was very generous and always willing to help others.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Betty Lawrence; grandmother, Nancy Brown; uncle, Ron Anderson; and aunt, Barbara Childers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his significant other, Lori Minyard of the home; their children and grandchildren; parents, Mike and Becky Brown of Shawnee; 2 sisters, Linsay and Chris Underwood of Tecumseh and Amanda and Kevin Dickinson of Shawnee; grandfather, James Brown of Tecumseh; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Parker, Dale Baptist Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
