Cheryl Ann Chaney

Cheryl Ann Chaney, 63, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Oklahoma City.

She was born on July 4, 1956 to Robert and Eugena (Bradshaw) Davis in Montgomery, Alabama.

Cheryl graduated with the class of 1974 from Choctaw High School.  She attended Rose State College for approximately 2 years.  Cheryl lived in Oklahoma City from 1975-2000, them moving to Tecumseh where she has resided for the last 20 years. 

She married Jay Chaney, Jr. on May 20, 1978 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Cheryl retired from the Oklahoma Tax Commission.  

Cheryl served as a Sunday school teacher, children’s Pastor and Missionettes Coordinator for 38 years. She has attended Evangelistic Center Church the past 20 years. Cheryl was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shane L. Chaney; and parents, Robert and Eugena Davis.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jay Chaney of the home; extended family and many loving friends and her church family.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019 and continue through service time.  Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Evangelistic Center Church with Reverend Noah Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
