Charlie Cle Washburn, 91, lifelong resident of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Cleveland County, Oklahoma on February 4, 1931 to Lee and Ora (Hulin) Washburn.
Charlie grew up in the Bethel Acres community.
He married Helen Louise Richards on August 21, 1948. They were married over 70 years and lived as residents of Bethel Acres before her passing on February 21, 2019.
Charlie was an active member of the Church of God (Seventh Day).
He loved farming and spent his life as a dairy and hay farmer. Charlie was a hard worker, quick at math, a man of few words and meant what he said.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Washburn; his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Chubby Washburn and brothers, Darrell Washburn and Loren Washburn; sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Joe Young; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Washburn and Margie Washburn.
Charlie is survived by his son and daughter in law, Keith and Vicki Washburn of Shawnee; daughter and son in law, Reta Jean and Ricci Head of Shawnee; son and daughter in law, Kent and Melanie Washburn of Choctaw; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Washburn, Orval and Joyce Washburn, and Eldon Washburn; sister, Janean Washburn; sisters-in-law, Francis Washburn and Velma Washburn; numerous nieces, nephews other extended family, friends, and his loving church family.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home with family gathering from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to greet friends and family. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ruben Marquez and son-in-law Ricci Head officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
