Charley Mac Harguswas born on January 7, 1933 in Romulus, OK to Dave ""Short"" Hargus and Ollie (Ozment) Hargus. He passed from this life on April 1, 2011 at his home in Pearson, OK at the age of 78.Charley attended school in Romulus and graduated from Macomb High School.He married Mary Jo Thomas on July 16, 1953 in Romulus, OKCharley was a rancher and oil producer. Charley was born in Romulus. He was a lifelong resident of south Pottawatomie County. He loved breeding and training thoroughbred race horses and raising red Brahman cattle. He also loved operating his bulldozer. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; one sister, Delores Griffith.Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Joe Huff of Macomb, OK, Kim and Jim Johnson of Ardmore, OK; two sons, Mac Hargus and Lorrie Elliott of Asher, OK and Curtis Hargus of Shawnee, OK; eight grandchildren, Mikki, Wiley, Mary, Betty and Cole Hargus, Shelby and Chance Johnson and Darrell Huff; three brothers and one sister-in law, Tom Hargus, Pete Hargus, Ronnie and Pat Hargus; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Pauline and Cade Boepple and Velta Faye Duvalle and numerous other family members and friends.
