Carey Junior Corbin

Carey Junior Corbin, age 77, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born March 22, 1947 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to Vernon Samuel and Mary (Pierce) Corbin.  Carey grew up in Tecumseh and Oklahoma City, and as a teenager, made his home in Shawnee. 

Carey worked for several years for the city of Shawnee and BFI Sanitation before retiring.  He loved spending time with his children, driving, going walking, and was a good storyteller. 

He is preceded in death by; his parents; his sisters, Nell Townsend, Mary Reid, Laverna Kraicek, Janice Fisher, and Barbara Winborn; and his brothers, Alton Corbin and Larry Corbin

Those left to cherish his memory are; his daughter, Crissy Corbin of Shawnee; his son, Carey Samuel Corbin of Shawnee; his daughter, Caria Kennedy of Tecumseh; his grandson, Caden Kennedy; his sister, Bonnie Hitchcock of Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Graveside Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Tecumseh Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Keith Ward of Taproot Church, Shawnee, Oklahoma, officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
