Brenda Jean Tunnell

Brenda Jean Tunnell, age 77 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

She was born July 22, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to George Stanley "Buster" and Eula (Harper) Beal.  She was raised in Tecumseh, and graduated from Tecumseh High School.  After high school she attended Shawnee Beauty College.  

Brenda married Grover D. "Wayne" Cleveland Sr. in Shawnee, on March 27, 1965. She later married Ray Tunnell. 

She has lived in the Tecumseh and Shawnee areas most of her life.  She attended Tecumseh First Assembly of God Church for many years.  She was employed as an N.T.M.C. provider.  
    
Brenda is preceded in death by; her parents; husbands, Grover Cleveland, Sr; and Ray Tunnell; her sisters, Bonny O'Neal, and Vickie Beal (Shorter).

Those left to cherish her memory are; son Grover D. Cleveland, Jr. of Tecumseh; niece Tammy Shorter of Tecumseh; nephew, Arley "Opie" Shorter and wife Shawn, of Shawnee; niece, Laquita Matthews of Tecumseh; nephew, Rick O'Neal of Tecumseh; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Tecumseh First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Don Jonker officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
