Billie Ruth (Crawford) Fearing

Billie Ruth (Crawford) Fearing, passed away at Belfair of Shawnee on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  She’s at peace with her Lord.

Billie was born May 26, 1941 at the hospital in Watonga, OK to John Walter Crawford and Pearl Irene (Juttner) Crawford.  She attended Bethany, a small country school near her home for her first three grades and graduated from high school at Greenfield, OK in 1959.   On June 10, 1962 she married Solon Fearing in the Etna Methodist Church southwest of Watonga.  Billie worked for H.G. Tolbert an attorney in Watonga and for Southwest Title and Trust in Oklahoma City.  When Billie and Solon moved to New Orleans, Louisiana she worked for attorney Bienvenue and Culver.

While living in Louisiana Billie and Solon had two children, Ginger and Heather.  Billie was a loving and caring mother, helping her girls with school projects and bake sales, with skinned knees and broken hearts, she did it all and did it well.

Billie took great joy in singing and playing the harmonica.  She received her first harmonica at age 8 and taught herself to play.  The poetry she wrote would touch your soul.  She was also an accomplished oil painter.  Billie was always ready for an RV trip to the mountains or some far away cemetery to find a lost ancestor.  She was a very proficient genealogy researcher.  Billie was a faithful and loving wife.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Michael Crawford; sisters, Patsy Ann Lawhon and Maydie Owens; and grandson, Clayton Clarkson.

Billie is survived by her husband Solon; her daughters, Ginger Clarkson, Heather Jordan and husband David; grandson, Jasper Jordan and wife Brianna and great-grandson, Jackston Jordan and his brother, Grayson Walls; grandson, Briar Jordan and girlfriend Whitney Canfield; brother-in-law, Rocky Fearing and wife Kelli; and close nephew Josh Fearing and wife Rachel; and numerous nephews and nieces; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021.  Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2021 at Tecumseh Cemetery with Felicia Lucas officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
