Bea Calvert

Bea Calvert, 84, of Wanette, Oklahoma passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home. 

Bea was born February 19, 1938 to Roy and Frances “Fannie” (Chapman) Roper in Berlen, Oklahoma. 

She was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Public Schools. 

Bea married Delbert “Floyd” Calvert on August 12, 1955 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on February 16, 2008. 

She along with her husband operated a dairy business.  Bea also worked outside the home in food service at O.U. until her retirement. 

She was a member of Grace Community Church in Tecumseh.  Bea’s favorite thing was helping with meals for people in the community. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Calvert; daughter, Tina Faye Calvert; great-grandson, Ray Kelso-Calvert; 5 sisters, Bessie Lee Brayer, Bernice Kalm, Mary Ruth Wiegert, Violet Watson and Ilene Crane; and 3 brothers, Monroe Roper, Johnnie Roper and Jessie Colbert Holcomb. 

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Sharon Calvert of Wanette; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Bruce Erdman of Wanette; children by heart, Tim and Janet Lindsey of Wanette; grandchildren, Bill Calvert, Tina Dabney, Tim Kormendy, David Kormendy, Curtis Lindsey, and Tabatha Lusk; great-grandchildren, Rylee Calvert, Morgan Calvert, Zarion Kormendy, Tanner Kormendy, Denim Lusk, R.L. Lusk and Lindsey Lusk; and other extended family and friends.   

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022 and continue through service time.  Service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Grace Community Church in Tecumseh with Reverend Lonnie Hurst, Grace Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Maguire Cemetery in Noble, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
