Barbara Jean Robinson, 94, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Shawnee.
She was born July 10, 1928 to Herman and Edith (Hickerson) Morrow in Hollis, Oklahoma.
Barbara was raised in Moore, Oklahoma and graduated from Moore High School. The highlight of her high school years was participating in the High School Marching Band and playing the French Horn.
She met her future husband Jack Robinson at a diner in Moore and they married on November 28, 1946. They lived in Jennings, OK, Borger, TX and settled in Tecumseh in 1959 where she has since lived. Jack preceded her in death on October 7, 2000.
Barbara was a master florist and gardener. She was a home school entrepreneur and shared her gift of the love of reading, art, music and gardening with many. Barbara loved people unconditionally and enjoyed cooking and canning. She loved her family deeply and instilled strong family values that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robinson; her parents, Herman and Edith Morrow; son-in-law, Charles Shackelford; and granddaughter, Brittany Munoz.
Those left to cherish her sweet memories are her 5 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Linda Shackelford of Edmond, OK, Julia Robinson of Byng, OK, Judith Munoz of Tecumseh, OK, Iva and Perry Bingham of Tecumseh, OK and Peggy and Harvey Weber of Choctaw, OK; 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Mike Robinson of Oklahoma City and Pat and Kim Robinson of Shawnee, OK; 3 sisters, Beverly and Paul Woollett of Bartlesville, OK, Dorothy Cooper of Odessa, TX and Pat Woods of Ft. Collins, CO; 1 brother, Moody and Sue Morrow of Borger, TX; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Family gathering will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 to greet friends and family at Cooper Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with her son, Pastor Pat Robinson, Frontline Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
