Barbara Gail (Vickery) Dancer

Barbara Gail Dancer, age 80 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025.

She was born February 20, 1945 in Haleyville, Alabama to Clyde and Ruth (Smith) Vickery.  She was raised in Delmar, Alabama, and graduated from Haleyville High School.

Barbara married Bobby Dancer on June 05, 1965 in Delmar, Alabama

She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother, who made sure her family was well taken care of. She enjoyed making stained glass art, decorating cakes, making floral arrangements, and being outdoors.  She was a member of Sharon Baptist church.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ruth Vickery.

Those left to cherish her memory are; husband, Bobby Dancer of the home; daughter, Barbara Holbrook and husband Tommy of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, DeAnna Taylor of Tecumseh; daughter, Kristie Cobb and husband Frank of Tecumseh; brother, Jack Vickery and wife Shirley of Slaughterville; brother, Donnie Vickery and wife Brenda of Tecumseh; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 with Family Gathering from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Hill Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
