Anita Sue "Sue" Glover age 87 of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Sue was born on August 23, 1937 in Oklahoma City, to Virgle Charles and Clella Marie (Weese) Massie.
She married James Wesley Glover on December 21, 1956 at Wallace Avenue Baptist Church in Shawnee. They celebrated 59 1/2 years of marriage before his passing.
Sue worked for herself making custom drapes for 35 years before retiring. She loved to make quilts and made quilts for disaster victims, babies, nursing home lap quilts and cakes, and bags and quilts for homeless children. She was a member of WOM, Quilters for Christ, and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of Northfork Baptist Church in Eufaula, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by; her husband Jim Glover; and her son-in-law, Freddy Wright.
Those left to cherish her memory are; daughter, Cindy Wright, of Checotah, OK; two grandchildren Tara Vandeberghe and husband Matt, and Aaron Wright and wife Kristin; four great-grandchildren, Dawson, Hayden, Bryce, and Alexys; sister-in-law, Claudia Wellman; and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew, Lonnie Wellman officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
