Stephen LaPointe, 45, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 in Ada.
Stephen was born in Oklahoma City and was primarily raised in Maud before moving to Tecumseh.
Stephen attended school in Maud and graduated with his high school diploma. Shortly after obtaining his diploma, Stephen made the decision to proudly serve our nation in the United States Army. After serving his time in the military, he decided to follow his passion and became a personal trainer in Florida where he was pursuing his dream of owning his own personal training business. Stephen enjoyed watching his clients achieve health, fitness, and confidence.
Stephen later decided to move back to Oklahoma to be closer to family and began pursuing his degree in Health and Exercise. He was passionate about supporting our veterans, worked at the VA hospital, and enjoyed all sports. Stephen loved being with his dog Kye and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Paul Schmidlkofer.
Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Schmidlkofer of Tecumseh, OK; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Natalie and Jacob Leba of Asher, OK and Veronica Schmidlkofer of Tecumseh, OK; 4 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Vincent Schmidlkofer of Ramona, CA, Patrick and Christy Marsh of Tecumseh, OK, Sean Marsh of Tecumseh, OK and Paul Schmidlkofer of Denver, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends and extended family.

Rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel in Oklahoma City with Reverend Joseph P. Schwarz, St. Benedict Catholic Church, Shawnee officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
