Shawn Lynn Harlan

Shawn Lynn Harlan, 46, of Cromwell, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 in Okemah. 

He was born June 1, 1972 to Shannon and Lois (Dunn) Harlan in Henrietta, Texas. 

Shawn was a 1992 graduate of Putnam City West High School.  

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. 

Shawn married Angela Marie Briggs on April 30, 2011 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. 

He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, and spending time with his children.  Shawn was excited about the upcoming birth of his first grandson.  He was trying to learn magnet fishing and loved to go “ghost hunting” he was a part of several paranormal groups.  He love his children more than anything.  He was part of Cromwell youth sports, Bill Tiligman Committee and enjoyed coaching basketball and baseball for his children.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Lakers and OU Fan. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Shannon Harlan; and mother, Lois Ward.             

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angela Harlan of the home; 5 sons, Levi Harlan, Joseph Harlan and Declan Harlan, all of Cromwell, OK, Christopher Zyks of Elgin, OK and Jake Harlan of Bethany OK; 3 daughters, Kaylynn Harlan and Laurynn Harlan of Bethany, OK and Abby Harlan of Cromwell, OK; 1 grandchild on the way; brothers, Patrick Dunn, Eddie Dunn, Jr. Dunn, Christopher Harlan and David Harlan; sister, Angie Evans; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and friends. 

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Monty Priest officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
