Kathy Stearman

Kathy Leona (Watson) Stearman, age 67, of Tecumseh, OK passed away at her home on Monday, June 3, 2019. 

She was born October 29, 1951 in Shawnee, OK to Harold and Geraldean (Flick) Watson. 

Kathy was a lifelong resident of Tecumseh. 

She graduated with the Tecumseh Class of 1969, attending all 12 years there with perfect attendance. 

Kathy married Jesse Stearman, Jr. on January 4, 1969 in Tecumseh and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. 

She was a secretary for Tecumseh Public Schools for 34 years. 

Kathy was a member of the Downtown Pentecostal Church in Shawnee. 

She loved supporting and watching her grandchildren by attending every dance recital, sporting event, or livestock show they participated in, until her illness prevented her from going. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her father; and her brother, Harold Watson, II.             

Those left to lovingly cherish her memory are her husband, Jesse Stearman, Jr. of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Colette and Rick McClure of Tecumseh; son and daughter-in-law, John and Allison Stearman of Tecumseh; mother, Geraldean Watson of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Taylor and Hayden McClure and Laney and Cami Stearman; sister and husband, Connie and Dale Kressin of Bethel Acres; sister, Tawana Gracy of Tecumseh; and numerous other family and friends that will miss her sweet personality and friendly face. 

The family would like to express their appreciation to Loving Care Hospice, especially Kayla Larman, for all of the special care given to Kathy and her family. 

Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Erick Henson of Tecumseh Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
