John Hall Obituary

John Lee Hall, 53, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, in Oklahoma City. 

Born August 1, 1965 to Vell and Georgia (Grant) Hall in Clinton, Oklahoma, he grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated in 1983 from Dale Public Schools. He married Jennifer Lynn Perkins on March 30, 2001, in St. Matthews, South Carolina. 

John had a long career in security and law enforcement which started in 1987 with the Shawnee Police Department, later with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina, and most recently with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office.  

He loved hunting, camping, the beach, nature and his dog Boomer.  John was a gun enthusiast and a member of the Oklahoma Sheriff’s Association. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer; daughter Callie and son Grant of the home; sons, Nick Hall and Amber of Shawnee, OK and Tim Perkins of North Dakota; father, Vell Hall of Shawnee, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mike Carter of Oklahoma City, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kelly and Michelle Stackhouse of Florida; nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his badge carrying brothers and sisters. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Hall.  

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019, at New Beginnings Church in Shawnee with Pastor Bobby Shatto, Chaplain Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office officiating and Lt. Freeland Wood, Shawnee Police Department as honorary speaker. Burial will be under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the American Kidney fund as appropriate for memorials at www.kidneyfund.org.
