James White Obituary

James Cavitt White, 59, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 in Tecumseh. 

He was born January 16, 1960 to Winfred Lee White and Betty Lou (VanFleet) White Dean. 

James was raised in Tecumseh and graduated from Tecumseh High School.  He lived in and around Tecumseh most of his life. 

He worked for Gilbert Trucking for many years as a long haul cross country truck driver. 

James was a member of Alameda Baptist Church.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, driving his truck and telling stories about trucking. James loved to talk and was a good conversationalist and was very funny and had a great sense of humor.  He especially loved being with his children and grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death his son, Josiah White; and his father, Winfred White. 

Survivors include 3 sons, James Randall and Amanda White, Colton Chance Medlock and Terry White; 1 daughter, Emily and Gus Stevenson; 2 grandchildren, James Atticus White and Paden Gabriel White; his mother, Betty Lou Dean; 6 sisters, Carol and David Wakefield, Sherry White, Kari and Gary Newell, Christi White, Karen and Chuck Davis and Sharon and Jimbo Jones; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019 and continue through service time.  Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2019 at ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Weston Young, Rock Creek Baptist officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Tecumseh under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
